Spanish Dagsa Gas Mask Inspection Pamphlet

This an example of the inspection paperwork for the Spanish DAGSA Gas Mask produced beginning in 1936 for the Spanish Civil War for new batches of the masks leaving the factory for issue to the field. These pamphlets are extremely rare and I have never seen another one anywhere else before. Presumably anywhere from one to a couple gas masks from each production batch at the factory would be selected for in depth measurements and testing to ensure quality control for the overall batch. If the mask(s) passed the inspection the inspection paperwork would then be folded up and inserted inside the tested gas mask and reinserted back into the shipping container to be issued. This particular example was produced at the Segovia Factory and was found folded in half and then tightly rolled up and stuck inside the inner lip of a DAGSA gas mask set issued with the Drager-Blanco filter. This example was purchased inside the gas mask set from Sarco Inc. in 2019.
