Indian Wars Era Infantryman
Pictured to the left is a portrait of an unidentified Indian Wars era "Company Quartermaster" in his class A uniform frock coat. His exact unit and location is unknown however the rank of "Company Quartermaster" was deemed redundant and was phased out in 1873 allowing us to determine that this photograph was likely taken approximately between 1866 and 1873. This photograph was found in it's original silver plated side-by-side frame on the left side of the frame with the photograph below being in the right side of the frame. This photograph was obtained at the "Screw Factory" flea market in 2022.
Pictured to the left is a group photo of three infantrymen involved in some sort of training exercise in the Indian Wars era at an unknown location taken approximately sometime between 1884 and the early 1890's. From left to right is firstly the soldier pictured in the portrait photograph above now holding an unknown sergeant rank based upon the stripe present on his trousers. In the middle of the three men is an unidentified infantry musician based upon the double stripes present on his trousers. Lastly on the right is an unidentified man of an unknown rank likely being a standard enlisted man. This photograph was found in it's original silver plated side-by-side frame on the right side of the frame with the photograph above being in the left side of the frame. This photograph was obtained at the "Screw Factory" flea market in 2022.
