POW First Hand Account

Pictured below are the five pages of notes as written by Mary Beard, John's sister, recorded sometime after John's military service. This account was the memories recalled by Mary as John had described them to her sometime before these were written.

Post Action Report & Military Records

Pictured below are scans of declassified United States military documents detailing John's experiences including an after action report, crew rosters, a hand drawn map of approximately where they crashed, casualty reports, and the US military copy of the German file on John Red. These scans were provided by the family of John to myself after reaching out to them with scans of John's journal.
